Alzheimer Therapy Advances: Focused Ultrasound Drug Delivery Shows Promise

Alzheimer’s Disease and Focused Ultrasound Delivery

This article is part of an ongoing series about the latest developments in Regenerative Medicine. This article discusses the latest advances in Alzheimer’s treatment.

In 1999, I defined the term regenerative medicine to include a collection of interventions designed to restore normal function in tissues and organs that have been damaged by disease or trauma. I include the full spectrum of cell-based therapies and biomechanical interventions, as well as chemical, gene and protein-based medicine.

A combination of focused ultrasonic therapy and a medication recently approved could be the best treatment we have for Alzheimer’s to date. In the New England Journal of Medicine Dr. Ali Rezai, along with colleagues from West Virginia University, describe a method to reduce cerebral amyloid beta load, a neurodegeneration biomarker, in Alzheimer’s patients. Although still in its early stages, this combination treatment could help millions of people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease in the future.

Revolutionary SOT-MRAM Technology from TSMC

TSMC and TSMC build exotic MRAM-based memories with radically reduced latency, power consumption, and heat.

The data is written into the memory cell through changing the magnetization of the free layer. This layer acts as’storage layer’ in the MRAM bit cells. A current is passed through the heavy-metal layer which creates a spin current, injecting it into the adjacent magnetic layers, changing their orientation and changing their state. By passing a current across the MTJ, data can be read by assessing its magnetoresistance. The SOT-MRAM is a hybrid of STT and SOT MRAM. It differs primarily in the geometry used to inject current during the write process.

SOT-MRAM has a lower standby power, but it still consumes a lot of power when writing. SOT-SRAM is also harder to manufacture and larger than SRAM. SOT-SRAM is a promising technology, but it’s unlikely to replace SRAM anytime soon. SOT MRAM is a good option for applications that require in-memory computing.

An activation of specific brain cells has been found to extend mice lives by an impressive 64%, according to research findings.

Study finds that activating specific brain cells increases the lifespan of mice.

Recent research has revealed that communication lines between organs in the body are important regulators of ageing. The organs and system of the body work together well when these lines are open. Communication lines degrade with age and organs can’t receive the molecular or electrical messages that they need to work properly.

In a new study, the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, identified, in mice, an important communication pathway that connects the brain with the body’s fatty tissue, in a feedback cycle that appears to be central to energy production in the entire body. This research suggests that the gradual degradation of this feedback system contributes to increasing health issues that are characteristic of natural aging.

The study, published in Cell Metabolism, has implications for future interventions to maintain the feedback loop and slow down the effects of ageing.

Uncovering Alzheimer’s Root Cause with Toxic RNAs: A Breakthrough Discovery

Toxic RNAs, the Hidden Cause of Neuronal Death in Alzheimer’s Disease Uncovered

Northwestern Medicine’s new study suggests that RNA interfering may be a major factor in Alzheimer’s. Scientists have for the first time identified short strands toxic RNAs which contribute to brain cells dying and DNA damage. This is true in Alzheimer’s disease and old brains. Scientists report that short strands protective RNAs decrease with age, which could allow Alzheimer’s disease to develop.

The study found that individuals who have a better memory (known as SuperAgers), also had higher levels of protective short RNA in their brains. SuperAgers, individuals 80 years and older who have a memory of 20-30 years younger.

Marcus Peter, Tom D. Spies professor of cancer metabolism at Northwestern University Feinberg school of medicine and the study’s corresponding author, said: \”Nobody had ever linked the activities of RNAs with Alzheimer’s.\” We found that the balance of toxic and protective sRNAs in aging brain cell shifts towards toxic ones.

Kennedy Schaal will present \”Using Advanced A.I. Summary ############################################################ Kennedy Schaal is the founder and CEO of Rejuve Biotech, an AI-driven therapeutics discovery company that solves problems for longevity and age-associated diseases. Summary ########################## Kennedy Schaal is the founder and CEO of Rejuve Biotech, an AI-driven therapeutics discovery company solving the problems for longevity and age-associated diseases. Rejuve uses advanced Artificial Intelligence technology to combine data collected from Methuselah Flies and data from humans. Bio can accelerate the drug discovery pipeline, and develop novel therapeutics quickly to help people live a longer life. The company has two novel and high-impact data sources as well as a unique artificial intelligence. They are the only owners of the data collected from Methuselah Flies, fruit flies that have been bred to be long-lived. Flies are a faster-growing species than other animals, so they can be used to test for longevity. Rejuve Biotech is able to test multiple treatment combinations and interventions over the life of a fruit flies and at various stages of their life (e.g. mating, resistance to disease). They also have access to Crowdsourced Data on Humans collected by Rejuve Network, a partner. Kennedy Schaal, a biotechnology executive who has a proven track record of leadership in the fields of applied genomics research and Artificial Intelligence on the cutting edge of longevity science, is renowned for her expertise. She has also been published in several journals on applied genomics and the science of longevity. Kennedy is a leading expert in genomic selection and breeding of innovative Drosophila Methuselah Flies. This, along with Artificial Intelligence, can solve many of the problems that exist today with longevity research. A Chief Biologist and Laboratory Director with extensive experience in the biotechnology sector. Strong researcher with expertise in genetics, evolutionary biology and the study of diseases related to aging.
